What an amazing day we had yesterday! All the children looked fantastic in their World Book Day costumes. We had a few Harry Potters, George from George's Marvellous Medicine, Denise the Menace and The Hungry Caterpillar just to name a few. Congratulations to James who won the potato competition in KS1, he was even the only one in our class to enter one! Well done James and enjoy spending you £10 voucher!
Another English topic has come to an end this week and we have been writing the sequel to The Owl and the Pussycat for our independent write. Our use of capital letters, finger spaces and full stops is coming on nicely.
We have finished our first week of multiplication where the children have been learning about groups of objects which will help them in a couple of weeks time when we learn about repeated addition. We have also been counting in 10s forwards and backwards. Please keep counting in 2s, 5s and 10s with your child as it will really help them in their maths lessons.
Your child will have received their assembly lines this week. Please practise them at home with your child as it is our assembly on Friday 13th March at 9.10am which you are all invited to.
Well done to Guy, Luke, James, Maisie, Samuel, Oscar who were the only children to complete their Fairtrade project homework that was set last week. They received 20 house points each for their great efforts! Just a reminder that all homework needs to be returned on a Wednesday (unless a project is set, in which we will give you a set date.)
Congratulations to Aaron who is our Ozzie's Champion this week. He has worked very hard this week in all of his subjects and has been listening well.
Have a great weekend!
