Welcome back to everyone after the half term!
Our topic for this half term is: Utopia VS Dystopia.
Since coming back after the break, we have completed last term's focus on History: a local, World War 2 Study. The children have researched how the local area had a part to play in WW2, including a Prisioner of War Camp, on the site of Brychall High School. Mrs Donlon, our 'Ashton Expert', also shared her knowledge of the local area.
The children have now moved onto the Geography focus for this half term: Fieldwork within the Local Area.
We have also started our new Science topic: Life Cycles of Plants and looking at how information is shared by networks in Computing.
In the upcoming weeks, we will also be starting our new text: Boy in the Tower.
Next week, the children will be completing their assessments for this term. If the children could revisit any previous learning, such as methods for the four operations, that maybe helpful for next week - https://www.stoswaldswigan.co.uk/classes/fun-learning-games
Thank you for your continued support and have a lovely weekend.
