Happy Valentine’s day!
Half term! It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through the school year.
We hope that you enjoyed the guitar recital as much as we did. The children were amazing and although many of them were nervous, they really enjoyed performing.
This week we completed ‘The Selfish Giant' and what a sad ending it was. The children have used the book as a stimulus for writing their own story.
Today we completed a pre- learning task on fractions and we will begin a unit of work on this after half term. Ask your child to list some fractions that are equivalent to a half and ask them to explain how they know.
Everyone enjoyed visiting the tuck shop today. Thank you to the PTA for organising this. A packet of Refreshers proved very useful during a discussion on fractions.
We hope that you have a relaxing half term holiday and that the weather is kind to us all.
Thank you for your continued support
