I can't believe we're at the end of another half term! The time is flying by! We have spent our money at the PTA tuck shop today which we all enjoyed. What a great way to start the half term!
We have finished our English topic all about The Odd Egg. The children have really enjoyed this book and have produced some great writing about it. We have learnt lots of new skills like suffix ing and prefix un.
Our shape topic will continue after half term where we will be looking at 3D shapes so continue to look at some shapes whilst you are out and about over half term.
On Tuesday it was Internet Safety Day. We talked about how the children are free to be themselves when using the internet. We re-capped how we shouldn't give any of our personal details away to strangers and created an avatar that we can use as a profile picture on any websites or games that require a picture.
We also listened to the new Thomas The Tank Engine story which was read live by a policeman who works on the railway. The new story is linked to railway safety so please reinforce how to be safe near a railway with your child. We even had a shout out for our school!
Well done to Ivy who is our Ozzie's Champion this week! She has made a huge effort to be kind to everyone this week and did a fantastic final piece of writing for The Odd Egg which even saw her receiving a Head Teacher Award sticker!
As it is half term there will be no homework so you can fully enjoy your week making lots of memories. Have a fantastic week and we look forward to hearing about all of your adventures when we return on Monday 24th.
Mrs WIbberley, Mrs Osborne and Mrs Dean.
