Starlings have had a lovely end to the week! We have been to Ashton library this afternoon and met the author – Sean Perkins. He read one of his stories to the children and answered some of their questions. His book will be available to purchase through school soon – please look out for the letter.
This morning we had our class assembly and we are very proud of all the children! They did an amazing job and delivered a lovely assembly, we hope you all enjoyed it too!
In English this week we have continued with our work on the book – The Selfish Giant, the children have had to pretend they were the giant and have written a number of pieces of writing from his point of view.
In maths we have continued with our learning of the bus stop method of division. Most children are understanding it but could I please ask you to encourage them to keep using TT Rockstars to help with the rapid recall of multiplication facts please?
Thank you to all the families who contributed to our copper challenge, we managed to fill the jar! Wow!
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Grindley and Mrs Catterall
