Friday 13th December

What a week we have had this week. We are all very proud of each and every one of the children for the performance that they put on for us all. Well done everyone. Thank you for all your support with the learning of lines and creating the costumes. We wouldn’t be able to put on the performances we do with the children without your support, it is very much appreciated by us all.

WEDNESDAY WORD – PRAYER

Our Wednesday word champions for this week are Martha Rowson and Harvey Carey-Jones for being thoughtful during our prayers . Well done to the both of you.

I FOLLOW “THE OZZIES WAY” CHAMPIONS

Well done to Ella Hurst and Joseph Waterworth this week. Ella has worked hard on her writing and persevered on this even when she has found this challenging and Joseph who was very caring towards another child who he could see was upset. Well done to both of you.

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN DOING THIS WEEK – During our Come and See (R.E) sessions we have continued to focus on the Christmas story and put on our Christmas performance for you all.

Within our literacy sessions, the children have been learning h and b. They have used these sounds when reading and writing simple words. The children designed their own elf and during our guided session, wrote labels on our design, some children wrote a description for their elf. All the children are now starting to add sounds when writing and have really come on with this we can really see how the children have progressed over the term. Well done everyone.

In maths, we have focussed on number order. The children have been ordering numbers to 10 and have been solving problems when finding out which number is missing in the number line.

During the afternoon, the children put on their Christmas performance and they have worked hard in preparing the items for our Christmas fair. They have also made their own reindeer with a pop out nose.

WEEKEND CHANLLENGE – This weekend we would like you to look at the sounds that the children have been learning this term. S, a, t, p, i, m, n, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, l, ll, ff, ss. Help the children with writing these letters correctly. Also look at the words I, the, no, go, to, into, and, is, it, in, on, at, am, an, up.

CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY Thank you for all your donations to a very special cause. The children all looked very Christmassy in their Christmas Jumpers.

CHRISTMAS FAIR – Thank you in advance for giving us your support at our Christmas fair. All the classes have worked hard when preparing their stalls to help raise money for the school.

CHRISTMAS PARTY – Our Christmas Party is on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th December. The children will be able to come to school in their party clothes, however, think carefully about the clothes that you put them in, as they will still be going in the outdoor area during the morning.
