I can't believe we've already come to the end of our first half term, it has flown by! We have learnt so much already in such a short space of time. Our two books in English have been lots of fun and we have just finished our Naughty Bus topic by writing stories about our own Naughty toys.
In maths we have been working on addition and understanding what the add and equals sign means. We won't be sending any homework home this week however if you would like to, you can work on adding objects within 20 and continue practising your number bonds to 10.
We have had such a busy Friday this week! Sports Cool brought their inflatable to school so we've all had a go on that which was great fun. The PTA were in school selling sweets at our end of term tuck shop, they were delicious! Thank you for your continued support for the PTA. We have had our Friday French lesson which we look forward to each week. And finally we have been designing Christmas cards in class which there will be more details about when we come back to school on Monday 28th October. So with such a busy day today, we haven't had time to do our spelling test! But don't worry, we will do it on the Monday that we return. So you now have an extra week to practise!
On Wednesday 30th October, we will be visiting St Oswald's church as part of our Come and See topic. A letter will be sent out asking if you are able to help with our visit. We will arrive at church for about 1pm so it gives parents time to get back to school in time for the reading workshop with Mrs Colothan at 2.30pm. If you are able to help with our visit, please return the slip to school.
Due to parent interviews this week, we had Wednesday Word in class and therefore don't have a Wednesday Worder this week. But we did manage to squeeze in our Hits, Hymns and Celebrations assembly today which means we have an Ozzie's champion! This week the award goes to Luke as he has really worked on his independence skills over the past couple of weeks and really tires hard in all of his lessons. He is a polite and friendly boy and always includes others in his games. Well done Luke, we are very proud of you!
Have a fantastic half term! We look forward to hearing all about your adventures when we come back.
Mrs Wibberley, Mrs Osborne and Mrs Dean
