Phew..what another busy week it has been in Seagulls!
We have finished our first text of the academic year 'The Unforgotten Coat' but will continue to complete work based upon the text for the coming weeks! The text has raised issues around the movement of people to other countries and the reasons why.
In Maths, we continue our focus on Place Value to ensure that the children have a sound knowledge of this area which will help them as we move onto other areas in Mathematics!
We ended the week creatively, using paint to recreate a section of David Hockney's work. A small plea, as we plan to become much more creative in the coming weeks, if your child could bring in an old shirt in preparation of those messy activities involving paint that would be greatly appreciated- we want to keep those shirts whiter than white!
Well done to the children who are now beginning to show good work habits for Upper Key Stage Two- keep working hard to earn those Dojo Points (House Points)!
